What happened to NetNut?

On July 2, 2026, the FBI and IRS Criminal Investigation seized the NetNut proxy platform, and Google’s Threat Intelligence Group announced it had disrupted the linked “Popa” botnet, a network of roughly two million compromised smart TVs and streaming boxes. Google has also stated that many popular proxy brands quietly resell or white-label that same supply.

If your provider’s IPs came from that pool (or from a reseller riding on top of it), your data operation now carries legal and reputational risk you didn’t sign up for. To avoid these risks, you need a network whose sourcing you can verify.

What Makes Infatica a Safer NetNut Alternative

Proxy providers can look similar on the surface. The difference is in sourcing, verification, documentation, and abuse controls. Infatica makes those standards visible.

Consent-Based IP Sourcing

Residential and mobile IPs come from opt-in peers who join through partner applications using our SDK. Participation is disclosed, consent is required before sharing begins, and users can opt out at any time.

Independently Assessed & ISO-Certified

Certified to ISO 27001, 27701, 22301, and 20000-1. Our SDK has been independently assessed by NCC Group and Halborn, and classified “not-a-virus” by Kaspersky.

Verified Customer Access (KYC)

Customers must pass KYC verification and accept acceptable-use requirements before using the network. Sensitive destinations are blocked, relay traffic is monitored server-side for threats, and confirmed abuse can lead to access revocation.

Proven at Enterprise Scale

Trusted by Fortune 500 companies and fast-growing data teams across e-commerce, finance, cybersecurity, and market research, with 40M+ IPs and 99.9% uptime.
